• Three of Jackson Gregory’s novels are in this book Man To Man, Under Handicap & The Desert Valley

Man to Man
It had been three months since Steve Packard had sailed out of a South Sea port and three days since he had ridden out of the sun-baked town of San Juan. Word of his father's death had come to him. The world was his. Ranch Number Ten belonged to him now. His mood changed quickly however when he spotted a young woman in his path. Later, perhaps, he would admit that she was amazingly pretty; that the curves of her little white body were delightfully perfect. At any another time, that would have put sheer delirium into a man's blood.

Under Handicap (1914)
Tommy Garton is a bright young man determined to make something out of his life despite his physical disability. But is the “handicap” in the title a reference to him? Or is it to “Greek” Conniston, 25, the son of a multi-millionaire stranded on a remote desert ranch without any money. For the first time in his life, Conniston understands what it is like to work for a living, and the tough life of cowboying is his most difficult challenge in a life filled with privilege and snobbery.

The Desert Valley
Over the south-western desert country of Arizona and New Mexico lies an eternal spell of silence and mystery. It was in this setting that Helen and her father were riding their horses and preparing to set up camp. Unfortunately, they were not alone. A peculiar man already occupied their spot, a man who gave them the impression that his desire was for secrecy. Intrepidly Helen’s father walked toward the fire and the man, warning .Helen to stay close by his side.

Like the character development he makes one can picture each player using their imagination as well.

Was not crazy about the ending as it never was clear how the evil señorita ended up one assumes She and Rios were trapped with no way back but maybe Barlow ends up killing both.

Any I am moving into Jackson books.

Not a good read

I wouldn,t recommended drags on
.
Interesting
entertaining reading
Well written but wordy background material which doesn't add much.
Really enjoyed these stories. Would have liked more info on the main characters.

Great stories. Would have liked more info on main characters.
I enjoyed this novel because of the twists that Jackson Gregory worked into this western. I will but and read more of his books.
This one went like I prefer all stories to progress. I must be getting old I like to see love and happiness win. It still has plenty of action.
